Demon Slayer Review: Is the Anime Good?

Demon Slayer Review: Is the Anime Good?

The title typically says everything about what the Anime is about. The plot follows the story of a Tanjiro Kamado who sells charcoal then later becomes a Demon Slayer to seek a cure for his little sister's curse.

Demon Slayer; Kimetsu no Yaiba has everything what an Anime Shounen should have. Stunning Art and Animation, captivating fight scenes, and a well-thought out world building that greatly enamors the viewers about the plot. With all those points in mind, Demon Slayer clearly passes as a Good Anime to Watch and here is why you should watch it.

Demon Slayer Characters

Demon Slayer Character Development

One of the things that stood out really well and impacted me greatly while watching the Anime is clearly the characters in itself. From the kind-hearted and diligent Tanjiro, the overprotective cute sister Nezuko Kamado, Inosuke, Zenitsu and more. Each of them are memorable, life-like that it makes you want to see more of them.

Character Development

Demon Slayer Characters

Demon Slayer Season 1 currently has 26 episodes. Every character has shown great potential in the Anime which impacts also to how good the World Building is. You can clearly see most of them being influenced by the kind-natured Tanjiro Kamado like Inosuke. And I as an avid enthusiast is very excited for their future development as a person. Not just in the current season but also in the Manga and Demon Slayer Season 2.

The Villains and Their Backgrounds

Demon Slayer Villains

Have you ever watched an Anime or Movie where the villains will seriously play with your emotions. Excitement, Anger, Sympathy, Fear. Though in a much smaller scale, the strongest demon, Muzan Kibutsuji together with his legion of demons gives off that kind of feel. No spoilers but, in the Mugen Train Demon Slayer Movie? I cried for real. Watch it. TTwTT You will know why. That aside, how can a good Anime not have an awesome villain? That is why Demon Slayer is in my good books.

Stunning Visual Effects and Fight Scenes

Demon Slayer Animation

Other than the storytelling, a bit of a humour and other compelling elements Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has to offer, one of the biggest assets the Anime really has is how flashy and eye-catching the fight scenes is. The techniques used and the battles is something to behold and flows incredibly well. The sword movements, being enveloped by fire, electricity, water etc are extraordinarily made that every battle can be paused and printed. Voila! You got yourself an epic art piece!
